What is a Dragon Binder?
SYVCS Dragon Binders are used K-5th Grade to help students organize homework and promote regular communication from school to home. Each grade has different expectations for their Dragon Binders, for 3rd Grade, students will use their Dragon Binder each day and be responsible for taking home and bringing back to school four days a week (M-TH). Students in 3rd-8th will get a school planner to help keep them organized and on time with assignments/events, this planner is an essential piece to our Dragon Binder. Students will practice how to use a planner/how to set it up, how to stay organized throughout the year, how to use homework resources/where to keep them, and more. The 3rd Grade Dragon Binder shows our dragons continuity in responsibility, ownership/accountability, and communication.
