Math Highlights:
Students will begin the year by reviewing subtraction and addition skills. Our primary focus is understanding and practicing multiplication and division in both computational practice and word problems. Fact fluency/practice is an important piece for math this year- students will be expected to study facts at home four days a week. Students will be introduced to fractions at a basic level as well as diving deeper into money, time, and geometry concepts.

P.E.

Dance.

Garden.

Students will continue with PE integrated into the school day. Third Grade has PE on ___________ and _____________ from ___________.

Dance is a great way to show variation in physical activity and creativity. We will have Dance on _________ from ________.

Students will visit our school garden at least once a week. In correspondence with the Weather/Climate unit, we will visit the garden in each season to note changes and similarities. In the Spring, when it warms up and the fruit trees have sweet treats to offer the garden is a great place to branch out to read in the amphitheater and/or play games. A group garden project might be possible this year, bringing us out to the garden even more!
