Students will begin the year by reviewing subtraction and addition skills. Our primary focus is understanding and practicing multiplication and division in both computational practice and word problems. Fact fluency/practice is an important piece for math this year- students will be expected to study facts at home four days a week. Students will be introduced to fractions at a basic level as well as diving deeper into money, time, measurement and geometry concepts.

Students will continue with PE integrated into the school day. Students will have PE TWICE a week for a total of 90 minutes a week.
Projects and other lessons will bring us out in the garden throughout the year, depending on what time of year it is, we could be learning outside anywhere from 1-4 days a week. Being present in our garden is very important & students should have an active role, we will do a number of different activities in the garden throughout the year! Art will be incorporated into classroom lessons/activities mostly, but we will hopefully have some opportunities to bring in an art teacher as well. |
