Math Highlights:
Students will begin the year by reviewing subtraction and addition skills. Our primary focus is understanding and practicing multiplication and division in both computational practice and word problems. Fact fluency/practice is an important piece for math this year- students will be expected to study facts at home four days a week. Students will be introduced to fractions at a basic level as well as diving deeper into money, time, measurement and geometry concepts.

Garden.

Art.

Students will continue with PE integrated into the school day. Students will have PE TWICE a week for a total of 90 minutes a week.

Projects and other lessons will bring us out in the garden throughout the year, depending on what time of year it is, we could be learning outside anywhere from 1-4 days a week. Being present in our garden is very important & students should have an active role, we will do a number of different activities in the garden throughout the year!

Art will be incorporated into classroom lessons/activities mostly, but we will hopefully have some opportunities to bring in an art teacher as well.
